It's Been Revealed Who Will Replace Marc Marquez For The Rest Of The 2022 MotoGP Season

JAKARTA - It is confirmed that Repsol Honda will lose Marc Marquez for the remainder of the 2022 MotoGP season. The Spaniard will undergo right arm surgery in the United States.

The question arises, who will fill the position of Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda for the remainder of the 2022 MotoGP season? Several names had popped up, but the choice fell on the test racer, Stefan Bradl.

"Steven Bradl will take over," said Repsol Honda manager Alberto Puig, as reported by Speedweek.

So how will Honda face the next race without the figure of Marc Marquez? Puig said the team's focus was on how to improve the performance of the RC213V motorcycle.

"I always say: Life is not what you want it to be, that's how it is. Our situation is the same now, but we have to move on, we have to understand how we can improve the RC213V while Marc is not there," said Puig.

He did not deny, losing Marc Marquez will affect the process of developing their new motorbike. However, Puig stated, there are still test riders and three other racers who are ready to bring data for his team.

"Of course our technicians really miss a rider like Marc at this time. However, that is not an excuse and we will continue to do our best," he said.
