JAKARTA - Under the leadership of Dana White, the UFC has grown to become one of the most popular sports in the world and is now a billion-dollar company.

White was president of the UFC in 2001 when Lorenzo Fertitta and his brother Frank acquired the company for two million US dollars (IDR 28.8 billion).

Since then, White has led the way to develop the UFC in terms of popularity and business with stars such as Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, and Khabib Nurmagomedov at the helm of the sport.

White makes 20 million dollars a year, plus returns from holding a small stake in the UFC. The 52-year-old man also loves luxury cars where he owns a Ferrari F430, a 1969 Chevy Camaro and a Bentley.

As his fame grew, White also purchased several luxury homes, including a house in Pine Island Court, Las Vegas in 2006 from Frank Fertitta III for 1.95 million dollars.

White was born in Manchester, Connecticut and attended Hermon High School in Maine where he met his wife Anne.

They married in 1996 and have two sons, Dana III and Aidan and a daughter, Savannah.

In 2019, White signed a seven-year contract extension to remain UFC president in accordance with the UFC extending its distribution deal with ESPN.
