JAKARTA - Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Fabio Quartararo, finally won his first victory in the 2022 MotoGP. He won the Portuguese MotoGP race which took place at the Alvagre Portimao Circuit, Portugal, on April 24.

With this victory, Fabio Quartararo pushed to the top of the MotoGP riders' standings in 2022. He collected 69 points from five races that he had played at the start of the season.

Fabio Quartararo shares the top of the standings with Suzuki Ecstar's Alex Rins. The Spaniard got an additional 13 points after finishing fourth in the Portuguese MotoGP race.

Now Rins has the same points as Quartararo.

While the third position in the MotoGP rider standings for 2022 is filled by Aleix Espargaro who has 66 points. It was thanks to the third podium he achieved at Portimao.

Gresini Racing's driver, Enea Bastianini, had an unlucky fate. He failed to get any additional points after falling in that race.

The driver who previously led the standings finally had to drop to the fourth position. He is eight points adrift of Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins.
