Ahead Of The Indonesian MotoGP: Having Good Capital At The Mandalika Circuit, Fabio Quartararo Wants To Repay The Failure At Losail

MANDALIKA - Yamaha Racing rider, Fabio Quartararo, looks confident ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP race, March 18-20. Understandably, he has good capital at the Mandalika Circuit, the venue for the race later.

During the pre-season test at Mandalika last month, Quartararo was ranked second in the record time with a best lap of 1:31.074 or 0.014 seconds adrift of session leader Pol Espargaro of the Repsol Honda team.

Quartararo is very motivated to get back to giving 100 percent of his ability to achieve a good result at the start of the season.

"I feel good and am ready to start racing in Mandalika again," Quartararo said on the team's official website, as reported by Antara.

"We did a good job here during the winter tests. We completed a lot of work and completed so many laps, so we will make good use of that."

The French racer did not want to be bothered by Yamaha's slumped performance in the opening race of the 2022 MotoGP. In the Qatar MotoGP race, Quartararo was only able to finish 9th.

It is known, tire pressure is a problem that prevents him from unleashing his full potential in Qatar.

"I don't want to dwell on what happened in Qatar, also because I know we have a good starting point this weekend," said the 2021 MotoGP world champion.

"I will focus 100 percent on getting a good result. Our pace was good here during the test, but many of our rivals are fast, so every detail and a split second counts."

The 4.3 km Pertamina Mandalika Circuit has a straight track of 507m, but the riders can still ride their motorbikes as fast as possible there.

With 11 turns to the right and six to the left, most of which are fast turns, the circuit with panoramic views of the hills and beaches on Lombok's southern coast offers many opportunities for riders to overtake.
