Persebaya Surabaya Vs Persita Tangerang 1-1: Bajul Ijo Blames The Away Team's Goalkeeper

GIANYAR - Persebaya Surabaya failed to pick up full points when they faced Persita Tangerang in the 2021/2022 League 1 continuation. In the match which took place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Sunday, March 6, both teams played equally strong with a score of 1-1.

Persita took the lead through Ahmad Nur Hardianto's goal in the 40th minute. He managed to take advantage of the chaos that was in front of the Persebaya goal mouth.

Aji Santoso's team did not remain silent. Five minutes later, Persebaya was able to equalize through Taisei Marukawa's action who took advantage of Syaeful Anwar's mistake.

This 1-1 draw lasted until halftime.

In the second half, Persebaya continued to pound the defense of Widodo C. Putro's team. Unfortunately, the opportunities that the club nicknamed Bajul Ijo got were raw in the hands of Persita goalkeeper Rendy Oscario.

Until the game ended, the score 1-1 did not change. Persebaya assistant coach, Mustaqim, said that his team's failure could not be separated from the figure of Rendy Oscario.

Based on statistics, the Persita goalkeeper made six saves in this match. Four of them can be considered very crucial.

"The goalkeeper of Persita is good. Almost all the players want to score goals but the goalkeeper of Persita is good," said Mustaqim, as reported by Persebaya's official website, after the match.

Mustaqim is grateful that his team was able to pick a point, even though this did not go according to plan. He praised the Bajul Ijo players who had played optimally.

"Many opportunities were created, but there were no goals. One of them was because we failed to take advantage of opportunities," he said.

To overcome the deadlock on the front lines, Persebaya tried to include Supriadi. According to Mustaqim, his team needs a striker with high cruising range. Unfortunately, this strategy is still not able to produce results.

"We were not lucky and the opponent defended well," said Mustaqim.
