Former UFC Fighter Maiquel Falcao Stabbed To Death In A Nightclub

JAKARTA – Sad news came from former UFC star Maiquel Falcao. The 40-year-old man died horribly with multiple stab wounds to the stomach.

According to the Daily Star, Falcao was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed outside a local bar in his native Brazil on Sunday, 23 am local time.

Local police have launched an investigation into Falcao's death. They have confirmed to a local daily, Gaucha ZH, that the former UFC star suffered two stab wounds to the stomach.

"No witnesses have been named and we still don't have a motive. Broken glass was found next to the body, but we believe he was stabbed", said Felix Rafanhim, the head of the investigation.

You could say, Falcao does have a lot to do in the club. In 2010, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman outside a nightclub.

The case saw his contract with the UFC terminated by Dana White after only one duel.

Falcao's professional mixed martial arts career was the best part of the two decades after he turned professional in 2004.

During his 18 years in the sport, he managed to build a record of 40 wins, 19 losses, and one no contest. However, he won his only fight at UFC 123 in 2010 against Gerald Harris.

He later joined Bellator and won the middleweight grand Prix tournament during his two years with the company.

After leaving Bellator, the fighter nicknamed Big Rig spent time battling with several other organizations, including Fight Nights Global. With Fight, he fought three times after joining in 2016.

After practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Falcao competed in three weight classes during his time in MMA. He moved up to light heavyweight and heavyweight in addition to his fights at middleweight.
