Lazio Vs Napoli: Partenopei Strengthens Top Position

JAKARTA - Napoli confirmed their position at the top of the Italian League standings after crushing Lazio 4-0 in match week 14.

Entertaining Lazio at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Sunday local time, Napoli were able to move on from the defeat they suffered against Inter Milan a week ago to return to winning ways.

Luciano Spalletti's side needed just seven minutes from the start to take the lead through Piotr Zielinski, who three minutes later was doubled by Dries Mertens using Lorenzo Insigne's pass.

Cited from Antara, Napoli was relatively able to grip the game and added to their margin of advantage in the 29th minute through Mertens' second goal, when the Belgian midfielder fired from long range to slot the ball into the top left corner of the away's goal.

Napoli's victory was fulfilled to 4-0 by Fabian Ruiz who also listed his name on the scoreboard just five minutes before the dispersal of normal time.

Napoli is firmly at the top of the standings with a collection of 35 points, three points ahead of AC Milan who lost the game early, and four points from defending champions Inter Milan in third place.

While Lazio, slipped automatically to eighth in the standings, having lost on goal difference compared to Fiorentina and Juventus despite both having 21 points.
