Greysia Polii/Apriyani Looked Aggressive The Beginning Of The Match, Even Though They Were Defeated By Thailand

JAKARTA – Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu failed to advance to the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2021 after being defeated by the women's doubles of Thailand, Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai, 21-18, 13-21, 19-21 at the Bali International Convention Center, Friday, November 19 night.

Greysia/Apriyani managed to win the first game interval with a score of 11-6 to 21-18. In the second game, Greysia/Apriyani still dominated the game. However, Puttita / Sapsiree were able to rise and make the score draw 5-5. In fact, the Thai pair managed to hit back and lead by points: 6-5, 7-5, 8-5, 9-5.

Greysia/Apriyani won again by making a score of 6-9 and 7-9. However, the Thai pair again managed to add points and won the second game interval with an 11-8 advantage.

More aggressively, after the second game interval, Puttita/Sapsiree shot up with a score of 14-10, even more so with a 19-12 advantage.

Greysia / Apriyani had time to stop Thailand's 13-19 points. However, Thailand's women's doubles was able to add to the score again and won the second game 21-13.

In the third game, the Indonesian pair managed to get the first point after the Thai women's doubles made a mistake.

However, after that Greysia/Apriyani made three mistakes in a row which made Thailand lead 4-1.

The Thai pair continued to move away with a 7-2 advantage. Indonesia's point acquisition stopped and made the Thai pair 11-9 ahead in the third game interval.

The Thai pair continued to drift apart after the interval of the third game with a 14-10 advantage. However, the Indonesian women's doubles were still able to catch up with a score of 12-14 and 13-14.

However, Thailand back away to lead 15-14, 16-14, and 17-14. However, thanks to the hard struggle, Indonesia was able to approach with a score of 16-17 and draw the score 18-18.

Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu's hard work still hasn't made it into the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters.
