JAKARTA - Persita Tangerang coach Widodo C. Putro is grateful to have won over Bhayangkara FC in Week 12 of Liga 1 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Thursday.

"Alhamdulillah, we are grateful that we were able to win the match this afternoon," said Widodo C. Putro in a virtual press conference session after the match, as reported by Antara, Friday.

Widodo said he had instructed his team to apply pressure from the first minute to get a chance to score first.

The instructions that Widodo asked for in the end worked out well and managed to lead by one goal in the first half and in the end, Persita won 2-1 over Bhayangkara FC.

"Indeed, in the match, we had instructed the players, we had to press them from the start. So that in the first half we could score goals. This is the result of hard work from the players," explained Widodo.

According to him, Persita's success in defeating Bhayangkara is the result of an analysis of Bhayangkara's game and the game of his foster children.

In addition, Widodo believes that nothing is impossible in football, and in the Indonesian league, nothing is impossible, as well as seeing the statistics that Bhayangkara was defeated at the start of the second series.

This victory has made Persita Tangerang move up to sixth in the Liga 1 standings with 16 points from 12 matches that have been played.

Furthermore, Persita is scheduled to face Persebaya Surabaya in week 13 of Liga 1 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, next Wednesday at 18.00 western Indonesia time.
