Claiming Not To Be Afraid Of The Ball Antimafia Task Force, The Referee For Fixing The Score: They Just Stand On The Sidelines

JAKARTA - PSSI continues to take decisive steps in eradicating cheating in Indonesian football competitions. Starting from applying fines, bans from playing to forming the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force.

Although PSSI has created a special team to deal with the problem of fixing the score, it does not scare the perpetrators. For them, the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force is only a complement to the side of the field.

This was revealed by MR.Y, the referee who claimed to be the perpetrator of the match-fixing in the 2021 Indonesian League 1 competition.

As a guest speaker at the Mata Najwa program with the theme "What can PSSI do volume 6: Again and again" on Wednesday, November 3, MR.Y, who was mentioned about his cheating behavior, was actually indifferent.

Mr. Y, who was not afraid, actually took the presence of the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force trivially, which was always present in every match.

"If we can't smell it (set the score) because we're used to it", he said, quoted from Najwa Shihab's YouTube.

"Meanwhile, their job (the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force) is to just stand there, so we don't think that (there will be action)", said MR.Y.

MR.Y, whose identity is still unknown, admitted that it was only in 2021 that he was involved as a referee. Although relatively new, he has twice fixed the score from ten matches that took place.

This resource person also explained how to work in managing fraud in the field. He admitted that he worked in groups and was organized.

"If the instructions are far from the match, they have been instructed, for technicals on the field we use codes", explained MR.Y.

"(During action) it is clear that we make a team, it is impossible for only one (referee) to play (cheat)", he concluded.

A new problem then arose. The National Police Headquarters is known to have ended the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force led by Hendro Pandowo in August 2020.
