Despite Facing Challenges, Gaikindo Reports Vehicle Transactions At GIIAS 2025 Reaches 38 Thousand Units

JAKARTA - The 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive exhibition which has taken place from July 24 to August 3, 2025 at ICE BSD City, has actually made positive achievements.

Based on the data received, exhibitions featuring more than 60 global automotive brands, including 40 passenger vehicle brands, 4 commercial vehicle brands, 17 motorcycle brands, 4 national caroseri companies, and more than 120 brands from the supporting industry, attracted many visitors to 485,569 people.

General Chairman of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi, said that in the midst of various challenges faced by the Indonesian auto industry this year, GIIAS 2025 has succeeded in becoming the encouragement needed by the industry today.

"In the midst of various global and national challenges that affect the pace of the automotive industry, we are grateful that the implementation of GIIAS 2025 has succeeded in recording very positive results. Starting from the presence of hundreds of thousands of visitors who again recorded the previous implementation, to the achievements recorded by the participants throughout its implementation, proving the spirit of the Indonesian automotive industry to continue to rise, again we emphasize that transactions are not GIIAS' main goal, but the results recorded this year are truly a strong impetus for industrial growth this year," said Nangoi, in an official statement received, Tuesday, August 19.

He said that the transaction data that occurred during GIIAS 2025 had increased compared to the previous year. Unfortunately, it was not explained in more detail about the numbers.

"It is extraordinary that in the midst of this year's challenges, GIIAS managed to record a total transaction of more than 38 thousand vehicles, through last year's results of 12 percent. However, the overall sales value decreased compared to last year, where this was influenced by the increasingly competitive price of vehicle models launched, which we think have positive things for the community," he said.

Gaikindo sees GIIAS 2025 as an important sign that the Indonesian automotive industry is still growing positively. The presence of various parties from the government, industry players, academics, and the general public at this exhibition shows an ecosystem that is getting stronger and ready to face global changes.
