JAKARTA - Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) motorsport division participated in the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 exhibition which took place on January 10-12 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
At the three-day event, the manufacturer displayed the theme "Car-making at Nurburgring" and showcased various vehicles that had been designed for performance on the track.
Reporting from Toyota's official website, Saturday, January 11, the brand displayed three GR Yaris hot hatch models with a more aggressive appearance consisting of the GR Yaris Nur 24h, GR Yaris M Concept, and GR Yaris with Aero Package in the form of a prototype.
Toyota Gazoo Racing exhibited the GR Yaris Nur 24h which is planned to be included in the Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) competition in Germany and the Super Taikyu Series for this year.
Competing under the umbrella of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Rookie Racing (TGRR) team, this car carries the GR Yaris facelift base launched last year with several of the latest technologies including Direct Automatic and will take part in the iconic Nurburgring 24 Hours race.
In addition, the manufacturer also showcased the GR Yaris M Concept which is another powerful version of the hatchback. This car is planned to compete in the Super Taikyu Series with TGRR.
Another interesting thing about this model is that the GR Yaris M Concept has a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder inline turbocharged engine installed in the middle. Of course this is different from the standard version which relies on a 1.6 liter 3-cylinder.
