Iran Fires Six Missiles at Jordan, Four Shot Down

JAKARTA - The Iranian military fired six missiles towards Jordan today. This retaliatory attack responds to the US military's bombardment for eleven consecutive nights. The Jordanian Armed Forces said that Jordan's air defense system intercepted and shot down four drones.

Two other missiles fell in two uninhabited remote areas.

There were no injuries or casualties as a result of the incident, the military said, and the operation caused no material damage.

Meanwhile, Iranian forces said they attacked US positions at military bases located in Jordan and Bahrain, according to the Iranian military on Wednesday.

"Iranian soldiers carried out a raid on US military installations and equipment warehouses at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan," according to an Iranian military statement, as quoted by state broadcaster IRIB.

It was also reported that Iranian forces attacked a warehouse of large equipment and a hangar for maintenance of heavy aircraft at Isa Air Base in Bahrain.

Previously, Iran also attacked a number of radar sites located in Kuwait, according to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday (21/7).
