JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia recorded a slick achievement from its flagship model, Omoda E5, where the model became the best-selling electric car in Indonesia from January to September 2024.

Based on data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), retail sales show that electric car selection by Indonesian consumers is currently dominated by a price range of IDR 400 million, and the Chery Omoda E5 leads the market in Indonesia with a total of 3,628 units.

Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan, revealed that electric vehicles in Indonesia are currently developing aggressively, and are dominated by products at a vulnerable price of IDR 300-500 million.

"The Omode E5 leads the market in the segment of Rp. 400 million and proves that the model is well received by the Indonesian people, we can see the large number of cars on the highway," he said, in an official statement received, Thursday, October 24.

Chery claims that one of the key factors in the success of Chery Omoda E5 in addition to a futuristic design is its complete feature that supports driving comfort and safety. Equipped with 17 ADAS features, ventilated seats and Vehicle-to-Load Features (V2L) also allows Omoda E5 to be used as a portable electric resource.

In addition, this one model is also equipped with advanced technologies such as Snapdragon Cockpit Platform Gen Tiga, SA 8155, and efficient high-tech batteries. With a range of up to 430 km (WLTP) or 505 km (NEDC), Omoda E5 is also able to easily meet the daily mobility needs.
