Toyota Will Bring Environmentally Friendly Innovations At The 2024 Japan Mobility Show Bizweek, Anything?

JAKARTA - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) will take part in the Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 which will take place at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture, Japan on October 15-18.

This event is a show for mobility industry players in introducing advanced and sustainable technology. Toyota will introduce a number of interesting innovations in this event, one of which is Portable Hydrogen Cartridge.

Launching from the manufacturer's official website, Thursday, October 10, Portable Hydrogen Cartridge in accordance with the development of Toyota's hydrogen-powered electric car is used to reduce the size and weight of hydrogen tanks from large and difficult to carry to smaller ones that are only held by hand. Portable Hydrogen Cartridge is designed to make hydrogen a familiar and safe energy source and can be used in various daily situations.

Then there will also be hydrogen-powered cooking utensils developed with Rinnai Corporation which will also be exhibited as an example of using hydrogen, where hydrogen in Portable Hydrogen Cartridge is used for fuel cells to produce electricity or to cook by burning hydrogen gas in it.

The next innovation exhibited by Toyota is the Sweep Energy Storage System. This technology will take advantage of used batteries from electric vehicles that will be reused in order to maximize the remaining battery storage capacity on each battery. This will contribute to the stable supply of electricity and the spread of renewable energy combined with other solar, wind, and renewable power generation systems, which tend to result in unstable electricity supply. The system was developed by Toyota together with JERA Corporation 2018. In 2022, the innovation was installed for the first time at the Yokkaichi JERA heat power plant for demonstrations.

The latest innovation that will be brought by the manufacturer is the hydrogen-powered GR Corolla. Toyota has been developing this car since 2021 and has always participated in the endurance racing event in Japan. Based on the globally sold GR Corolla, this car is in line with Toyota's vision to create environmentally clean vehicles when used.
