Chery Group Sets Record, Reaches 1.5 Million Sales As Of August 2024

The Chery Group announced its excellent sales achievement in August 2024, where a total of 211,879 vehicles increased 23.7 percent from the previous year. The total achievement can be seen in several significant things, ranging from the sale of new energy vehicles or New Energy Vehicles (NEV) as well as exports.

From the data received by VOI, for sales of new energy vehicles sold as many as 46,526 units, recorded significant growth of 158.5 percent. Meanwhile, exports reached 97,866 units, up 12.7 percent. Cumulatively, from January to August 2024, the Chery Group has sold 1,508,259 units, with an increase of 41.9 percent year-on-year (YoY).Chery contributed 131,734 units in August and 961,624 units from January to August, providing a growth record of 34.8 percent YoY. This achievement was driven by technological and innovative capabilities in product-type development.Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia Rifkie Setiawan, revealed that he was proud of the extraordinary achievement of the Chery Group in August. Very remarkable growth in the domestic and global markets shows Chery's strength in product quality and service that is recognized internationally. "In Indonesia, the achievement of the Chery Group is our motivation to continue to contribute to global sales," he said in his official statement, Friday, September 6.

Chery also noted a balanced growth in both the domestic and global markets. Sales of Chery outside China currently reach 720,305 units from January to August, or up 25.2 percent YoY. Sales in overseas markets include oil-fueled vehicles reaching 1,235,412 units (up 27.6 percent YoY) and NEV which reached 272,847 units (growing 187 percent YoY). Chery's success is supported by the ability of Chery technology which allows flexibility in the development of various types of products, one of which is integrating fuel and electrical technology to optimize mobility solutions.
