Suzuki Ignis In Injected Dead In Indonesia, Here's Suzuki's Explanation

JAKARTA - After officially entering the Indonesian automotive market since 2017, Suzuki Ignis has now been officially suspended or discontinuous from the Indonesian market.

This was confirmed by the 4W Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) Harold Donnel. So what is the reason for the Suzuki Ignis discontinuation in Indonesia?

"In accordance with our corporate plan which will gradually focus more on electrified products such as hybrid XL7 and hybrid Ertiga," he said, when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, July 10.

Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Harold stated that the injection of the Ignis model in Indonesia was also strengthening the domestic Suzuki models.

"As well as strengthening the existence of domestically made models," he added.

However, he did not elaborate in more detail regarding the replacement model from Suzuki Ignis, it was rumored that Efronx was a strong candidate because it was rumored that he would enter Indonesia.

But that was only speculation and until this news was published there had been no reply from Suzuki's side.

Looking at the history of Suzuki Ignis in Indonesia, this one car first arrived in 2017, which was present in three variants with the most expensive prices touching Rp169, 5 million unique GX AGX type.

Meanwhile, in 2020 it received an update on the exterior which made it look more modern. After that in August 2023 it also received an update and added a new feature in the form of vehicle stability control (VSC) and hill hold control (HHC). Both complement the existing Ignis safety features such as dual airbags and ABS and EBD braking systems.
