JAKARTA - Japanese automotive manufacturer Subaru reported the proceeds from sales in the United States (US) market by booking 55,228 units last month or a slight increase of 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
"Surabaru retailers did their best in June to address an unexpected challenge, working with our corporate team to generate an increase in sales for twenty-three consecutive months," said President and COO Subaru of America Jeff Walters, on the brand's official website, Thursday, July 4.
In this period, Outback became the best-selling model with a total of 16,853 units followed by Crosstrack as many as 15,132 units. Complementing the top three rankings, Forester sales were quite powerful with 11,108 units sold. Placed in fourth place there is an Ascent model with a total of 5,020 units followed by the Impreza model totaling 2,464 units completing the top five.
For the high-performance vehicle segment, the WRX model is the prima donna for Subaru customers in the public market, uncle Sam, totaling 1,332 units followed by the BRZ model with a total of 243 units last June.

Solterra's Subaru sales also improved in six months with a book of 5,385 units, an increase of up to 81.2 percent from the previous year.
