Kia Records Global Sales Of More Than 260 Thousand Car Units In June, Sportage Terlaris

JAKARTA - Kia reported its global sales results in June 2024 with a book of up to 267,536 units, but these results decreased by 3.9 percent compared to last year.

According to the brand's official website, Wednesday, July 3, the SUV segment received the most sales with Sportage being the best-selling one up to 48,920 units last month. This was followed by the Seltos model totaling 27,223 units and Sorento up to 23,658 units.

Meanwhile, sales at home reached 44,003 units but experienced a 13.7 percent decline from last year's acquisition. Then, foreign sales reached 223,033 units or 1.7 percent lower.

In a six-month period, the manufacturer managed to sell 1,554,032 vehicles or 1.4 percent lower with 275,240 of them for the South Korean market and 1,276,707 for the overseas market.

For the United States (US) market, Kia managed to book 65,929 positive results in the June period and for six months to 386,460 units.

In uncle sam's country, the brand, which is shaded by the Hyundai Motor Group, recorded four models that experienced an increase ranging from Carnival (up 18 percent), Forte (up 13 percent), Sportage (up 11 percent), and Seltos (up 1 percent).

For the electrification sector, Kia EV6 is still the best-selling product with 2,171 successfully sold in the June period in Uncle Sam's country. His larger brother, EV9, approached a total of 1,905 units. In the first six months, EV6 sales managed to collect up to 10,941 units and EV9 began to approach with 9,671 units.

As for the whole, the Sportage model managed to become the best-selling in the US with 13,316 units in June and 79,853 units in six months this year. Then, this achievement was followed by the Forte model of 11,358 units (June 2024) and 70,473 units (six months 2024).
