Hyundai Motor Group, a car manufacturer from South Korea, shows off a parking robot that aims to make it easier for consumers.

Quoting from the Teslarati page, Thursday, June 27, Hyundai introduced this technology in a short 40-second video shared on its official YouTube page, Hyundai Motor Group.

"Purpose parking on robots. This parking robot lifts the wheels of the vehicle and can maneuver in all directions to park your car with precision," the Hyundai Motor Group statement said.

So when the customer arrives, they can get out of the car and the autonomous parking robot will take care of it. Hyundai said this robot is capable of carrying loads of up to 2.2 tons and moving at a speed of 4.3 km/hour. This robot works by attaching to the front wheels and rear of the vehicle, while the camera system guides the robot to park the car properly.

Interestingly, this parking robot can carry vehicles through a multilevel building, and its parking control system is able to control up to 50 robots simultaneously.

Hyundai also revealed that this parking robot can be juxtaposed with an Automatic Charging Robot (ACR) developed with Kia. ACR is an arm robot capable of connecting the cable to the charging port and releasing it after charging is complete.

"ACR will help charge electric vehicles more easily and comfortably, especially in the dark environment. It will also increase accessibility, especially for people with mobility barriers, as charging cables are getting thicker and heavier to allow high-speed charging," said Hyundai Motor Group's Head of Robotics Lab, Dong Jin Hyun.

Hyundai will continue to develop ACR to improve security and comfort, so that all electric vehicle customers can immediately use it at charging stations.
