Chery Promises To Surprise At GIIAS 2024, Brand Launching?

PT Chery Sales Indonesia has confirmed that it will provide an interesting surprise at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) which will take place from 18 to 28 July 2024.

As confirmed directly by the Head of Brand Department of PT CSI Rifkie Setiawan, he ensured that Chery would bring a surprise because many brands would also surprise him.

"Many brands enter Indonesia, they give surprises, so we will give surprises too," he said, when met some time ago in the Jakarta area.

Rifkie revealed that Chery would launch a brand launch, but he did not explain in more detail about the brand. When asked about the Jetour or Jaecool brand, he did not budge.

"Actually, we have other brands, globally, there is indeed a Jetour under the auspices of Chery. For International Chery, there are only 3 brands that are currently held together, they exist for flagship that is luxury cars, then for premium fashion there is Omoda, Jaecool, and for premium entry level there is a Tiggo and Arrizo series Chery," he added.

Furthermore, he also did not describe the technology to be carried, and he ensured that Chery actually had a lot of technology. For example, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) to Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).

"We will bring the possibility of several ICE variants, BEV and PHEV. Later we will spill it, because now we need approval from the headquarter later if the headquarter has hit the hammer, we will give the opportunity to get the brand out, we will inform the media," he concluded.

As previously reported, several Chery brands have indeed been caught on camera testing roads in Indonesia, including Jaecoo, who was seen in the PIK area while trying out Tiggo 5X.
