JAKARTA - In recent times, Daihatsu has had to face the problem of a hit-test scandal that has an impact on several of its models. As a result, several models had to be stopped by production due to these problems.

At the end of January, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation, and Tourism (MLIT) confirmed that these 10 small vehicle models had complied with the standards of the Road Transportation Vehicle Law based on the results of testing with the certification authorities present and other reasons.

Following the results of this confirmation and a comprehensive assessment based on input from customers and suppliers, Daihatsu decided to continue production of these ten models on February 26 and delivery starting February 19.

Daihatsu will work with suppliers and several sales companies to solidify preparations. After the preparations are complete, the company will continue production and delivery activities of a number of models as usual.

"While reaffirming our commitment to prioritizing safety and quality, we will do our best to ensure these models reach our customers as soon as possible," Daihatsu wrote on its official website, Monday, February 12.

The ten models affected by the case include vehicles from Daihatsu, namely Mira e:s, Hijet Cargo, Atrai, and Hijet Truck. Then, the Toyota model includes Pixis Epoch, Pixis Van, and Pixis Truck. Finally, the car from Subaru includes Pleo Plus, Sambar Van, Sambar Truck.

The manufacturer also asked car customers to patiently wait for delivery. They also expressed their apologies to all those who had raised concerns.

"We would like to express our deepest apologies for the inconvenience and concerns we may cause," added Daihatsu.
