Mitsubishi Motors Starts Exporting Xforce From Indonesia, Vietnam Is The First Destination Country

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Xforce produced by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (hereafter, MMKI), has begun to penetrate foreign markets.

On February 5, 2024, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereafter, Mitsubishi Motors) announced that it had started exports for the Mitsubishi Xforce model which is a compact SUV.

The commemoration ceremony was held at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta Province, which was attended by a number of invitations, including representatives of the Indonesian government, representatives of the Japanese government, and related parties from Mitsubishi Motors.

"We are very proud to be able to export from our production center in Indonesia," said Takao Kato, President and Chief Executive Officer Mitsubishi Motors, in an official statement received on Tuesday, February 6.

Later, Vietnam will be the vehicle's first export market in ASEAN, and the vehicle will be launched in stages to other ASEAN countries such as the Philippines, then will be followed by South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

"In the future, we hope to export to various regions, so that they can make further contributions to the Indonesian economy and the development of the Indonesian automotive industry," he added.

Speaking of specifications, the SUV offers a large space with a length of 4,390 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, and a height of 1,660 mm. The design is also very futuristic, as it can be seen from some pointed curves embedded.

In addition, this one car is equipped with attractive features such as driving modes, such as Normal, Gravel, Wet, and Mud. These four modes allow XForce to overcome various road conditions with Active Yaw Control (AYC) control, which dynamically regulates left and right wheels, traction, movement of tires, engines, and power steering.

This Japanese manufacturer also collaborates with Yamaha to present the audio system "Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium", providing quality entertainment for car users.

Powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16 machine with CVT transmission connected to the front wheel (FWD), Mitsubishi XForce is capable of generating 104 dk of power and torques reaching 141 Nm.

In December last year, Mitsubishi Motors started production from L100 EV in MMKI (called the MiEV Minicab in Japan), a commercial EV vehicle model in the kei-car1 class, which is the first production in one of the company's affiliates outside Japan. Efforts will continue to be made to build a production and supply system that can respond flexibly to the development of the times and new demand.
