Suzuki Car Sales Increase By 25 Percent In December 2023, Here's Why

JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) recorded sales growth in December 2023, especially in the vehicle retail segment with an increase of 25% and an increase of 26% in the commercial segment.

Meanwhile, the increase in sales of the passenger category was dominated by XL7, which recorded a 32% increase in sales compared to the previous month.

Randy R. Murdoko, Asst. to Dept. Head of 4W Sales of PT SIS, revealed that the increase in sales in December was influenced by the public's need for vehicles for year-end holidays and the trust of Suzuki loyal customers.

XL7, one of Suzuki's flagship SUVs, continues to show its existence as the main choice of Indonesian families while on vacation.

"The design of toughness and the ability to pass through various terrain make XL7 suitable for daily and holiday activities," said Randy, in his statement, Friday, January 19.

The XL7 excess includes broad capacity, increased comfort and driving safety features, as well as affordable ownership costs. The New XL7 Hybrid variant with Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology also increases fuel efficiency and driving convenience.

Suzuki's move to deliver hybrid-tech vehicles since 2022 has proven appropriate, with sales of passenger hybrid car retailers contributing up to 49% of total sales. By the end of 2023, Suzuki felt the positive growth from market adoption of this environmentally friendly vehicle.

In the commercial segment, New Carry retail sales also increased 26% compared to the previous month. New Carry, Suzuki's trading vehicle, has proven to be tough for light operating costs.
