Zeekr Introduces Golden Brick, 15 Minute Charges Can Soar 500 Km

JAKARTA - Along with technological developments, various manufacturers continue to innovate in the development of electric car batteries, making them more practical and able to charge quickly.

Zeekr, the electric vehicle brand from China, is now one of the front lines by launching the innovative lithium iron phosphate (LFP) accumulator which is developed internally and considered very safe.

In a short video on the YouTube page, it can be seen that the battery was stored at -45 degrees Celsius for eight hours and placed in the fire at a temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius. After going through the extreme prisoner test, the battery was re-installed to the car and still functioning properly.

Zeekr claims that Golden Brick is the world's first mass-produced LFP battery, with volume utilization of more than 80 percent and mass production having started.

Golden Brick's advantages are not only on security, but also in terms of charging. This battery has a peak charging power of 500 kW, with a charging capability of 500 km from 10 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes. Even at a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius, the automatic charging speed increased by 25 percent.

The outside of the battery is coated with gold-colored insulating films with high voltage resistance up to 4000 V, increasing resistance by 27 percent. All packages are also waterproof, reaching the level of IPX 8.

Zeekr plans to pin the Golden Brick battery in the Zeekr 007 sedan, which is scheduled to launch later this year. This innovation makes Zeekr a leader in the adoption of advanced and reliable battery technology in the electric car world.
