Subaru Commitment To Continue Collaboration With Toyota For The Future EV

JAKARTA - The development of electric cars in the world is very fast, not even a few who do it in collaboration to accelerate the transition from conventional vehicles to full electricity.

As rivals and partners, Subaru and Toyota have collaborated to create the best cars since 2005.

Jeff Walters, spokesman for the American Subaru, revealed that the next three electric vehicles in Subaru's ranks will be "aligned vehicles", which show deeper collaboration with Toyota and other possible partners.

Although he did not specify, he assured that the future Subaru portfolio will be the most comprehensive and powerful in the company's history.

As is known, the two companies will also collaborate in the 2025 Forester, where the SUV will come as a plug-in hybrid with a battery sourced from Toyota, and an integrated electric component with a typical Subaru boxer engine.

Subaru's decision to collaborate with Toyota was not surprising, as the two automakers had partnered in their only electric vehicle, bZ4X or Solterra. Previously they also joined forces to create BRZ and GT86 sports cars and plug-in hybrid Crosstrek.

Although some may worry that the Subaru partnership with Toyota, will produce vehicles that do not have a unique character, this collaboration turns out to be quite successful.
