Tesla Finally Removes Hundreds Of Million Fines Treaty Clause On Cybertruck Buyers

JAKARTA - Tesla has finally removed the clause from the Cybertruck order agreement. As previously reported by VOI, the US electric car manufacturer set rules that the owner of the Cybertruck is not allowed to sell the car back quickly.

There are terms and terms of the vehicle booking agreement written on Tesla's official website, stating that customers who buy must agree not to resell them in the first year from the date of delivery.

In the clause, if the owner sells the Cybertruck to a third party without approval, he will be subject to sanctions in the form of compensation of US$50,000 or around Rp.784.9 million.

This news has become a hot topic of conversation, especially among customers who have been waiting for the Tesla Cybertruck patiently.

However, quoted from the InsideEVs page, Friday, November 17, all parts that threaten legal action against future Cybertruck owners have been removed from Tesla's Cybertruck Motor Vehicle Ordering Agreement.

"Only for Cybertruck: you understand and admit that Cybertruck will be released in a limited amount first. You agree that you will not sell or try selling Vehicles in the first year after the date of your Vehicle delivery," reads a statement in a clause revised by Tesla.

Tesla Cybertruck does have high demand, with an estimated reservation of up to 2 million units. This condition is certainly a profitable opportunity for early owners who want to resell it.

However, it should be remembered that Tesla's stance is not the first time this has happened, as several other automakers have also implemented similar clauses in their booking process. For example, Porsche 911 S/T 2024, which was only rented for the first year, was to prevent sales again at a higher price.
