JAKARTA - Awareness of the need for a transition to environmentally friendly vehicles has become a strong driver in demand for electric cars around the world.

Hyundai is currently still playing in the ICE market in Indonesia, such as marketing Stargazer. But, what's interesting is that we can play in the EV market. We can sell and the market is still wide open or there are not many manufacturers in Indonesia playing in this segment. So, we haven't chosen in the hybrid market yet," said Soerjo.

He also mentioned that not all vehicle makers choose the same strategy plan. Starting from competing in the ICE segment which is more efficient to presenting hydrogen vehicles. All go back to the strategy planning of each manufacturer.

"If it's like this, it depends on the car manufacturer who determines the strategy in the future to choose what and determine the strategy to adjust the market," said Soerjo.

In addition to presenting ICE-engined products, the Hyundai car distributor in Indonesia also chooses to invest in EVs, starting from building battery charging infrastructure to building an electric battery factory that will operate starting in early 2024.
