Mitsubishi Pajero Elected As Historic Car By Japan Automotive Hall Of Fame

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (Mitsubishi Motors) announced that the first generation of Mitsubishi Pajero, launched in 1982, has been selected by the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame (JAHFA) as one of the historic cars that contributed greatly to Japan's automotive history.

In an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 7, it was revealed that the first Pajero was introduced as a complete 4WD off-road car, combining superior off-road capabilities with daily convenience.

Mitsubishi Pajero has received great support from consumers in various parts of the world, building a strong position as a leader in the category of recreational vehicles and 4WD which was popular in Japan at the time.

Since its launch, more than 3.25 million Pajero units have been produced in four generations until production is discontinued in 2021.

During 26 times participating in the rally, Pajero recorded 12 overall wins, including seven consecutive wins, demonstrating extraordinary control and durability.
