JAKARTA Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury made sure he would never return to the boxing ring again despite a lucrative offer of IDR 22 trillion.

The British fighter decided to retire in January 2025 after losing to Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch in December 2024.

Some reports say he intends to return to the duel, including targeting trilogy with Usyk and chasing a major fight against compatriot Anthony Joshua, who many boxing fans have been waiting for.

However, while speaking on FurociTV's YouTube recently, he made sure he was no longer interested in getting into the ring.

"You can bid me 1 billion pounds (IDR 22 trillion) today and that won't change things because I've passed a point where I don't care what other people think," he said.

This isn't the first time Fury has announced his retirement from boxing. Prior to that, he had done so in April 2022 after defeating Dillian Whyte, but fought back six months later against Derek Chisora.

However, Fury insists that he has no reason whatsoever to think about the fights as many have been reported by the media.

"I am 37 years old, I have been beaten for 25 years. In the past, the goal was only money, titles, but now I have more than I can spend," he said.

Fury suffered a total of two defeats in a total of 37 fights. Both defeats all occurred against Usyk in his last two fights last year.
