Against Lion City Sailors, Bojan Hodak: This Is One Of Persib's Best Matches

Bojan Hodak appreciated Persib's appearance when he hosted Lion City Sailors (doc. Persib).

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak, appreciated the players after appearing against Singapore club Lion City Sailors in the Asian 2 Champions League (AFC Champions League Two). According to him, this match is one of Maung Bandung's best matches.

However, Persib's victory in sight disappeared after Lennart Thy broke into the host's goal during injury time.

Even though he had to share points and failed to score an additional goal, Bojan Hodak gave his appreciation to the Maung Bandung players.

"I see this is one of the best games of the last three seasons. At 80 minutes, we played amazingly and didn't give them a chance at all."

"Unfortunately we failed to produce a second goal. At this level, we really had to finish the match well," said Bojan Hodak, quoted from the Persib website, Friday, September 19, 2025.

One thing that makes this Croatian coach frustrated is that Persib missed Lion City Sailors' goal in the final minutes of the game.

"Unfortunately, at the end of the match there were a few mistakes and this usually happens in the game. When concentration decreases, there is negligence," said Bojak Hodak.

In Bojan Hodak's eyes, the Blue Prince's slick performance when he matched Lion City, who was runner-up in the Champions League 2 last season, could continue in future matches.

"I emphasize that this is one of the best matches. This (ACL Two) is certainly a different level when compared to domestic competition."

"Kita tahu lawan kami hari ini adalah finalis ACL Two musim lalu. Kami hari ini bisa medominasi game. Ini pertandingan yang bagus," kata Bojan Hodak.
