JAKARTA A total of 11 Indonesian representatives received the first stage invitation from Badminton Asia to compete in the 2025 Asian Badminton Asia Championship (BAC).
The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) announced a single list of couples who have been invited through their official Instagram social media on Friday, February 28, 2025.
"Indonesian representatives may still increase. Let's wait for the second phase of Badminton Asia's invitation," the national badminton parent wrote in their upload.
Two Indonesian mainstays in the men's singles number, Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, also received invitations. Both names are champions in the last two years.
Ginting first won the title at this event in 2023 when it took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Then, Jonathan did it in last year's edition in Ningbo, China.

In the women's singles sector, there are also two names invited by Badminton Asia. They are the 2017 junior world champion Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani.
The most representatives are still held by the men's doubles sector. This number sends four couples, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.
Furthermore, in the women's doubles sector, the two couples who have been included in the list are Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Lanny Tria Mayasari.
Finally, in the mixed expectations doubles, there is only the Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari pair. This is the comeback of the two names after being separated at the beginning of this year.
