Liga 1 2024/2025 Results: Arema Comeback With Half Of The Goals Over PSS

Arema won a landslide over PSS Sleman (Instagram/@aremafcofficial).

Arema FC managed to record a big victory when they hosted PSS Sleman in the 23rd week of Liga 1 2024/2025. In the match which took place on Monday, February 17, Singo Edan closed the match with a final score of 6-2 over Super Elang Jawa.

Taking place at Soepriadi Stadium, Blitar, the Arema FC and PSS Sleman meeting actually started at 15.30 WIB. However, the match only started at 17.00 WIB.

Even though it was delayed from the initial schedule, Arema FC's game, which hosted this match, was interesting. Singo Edan immediately moved quickly to open the first point in the second minute.

Arema FC's opener was created by Bayu Setiawan after taking advantage of goalkeeper Alan Jose's failed to stop the ball. But then PSS was equalized by Gustavo a minute later after grabbing a cross.

PSS made a comeback in the eighth minute through Nicolao Cardoso's goal. The process was similar to the first goal, it was Vico's turn to send a cross and then Nicolao grabbed it.

The game was tough, the two teams traded and bought each other attacks. The first half was completed 2-1 for PSS' advantage.

After halftime, Arema FC opened the game with a penalty from the referee. This happened after Fachruddin violated Lokolingoy by holding back his pace.

Dalberto, who came forward as the executioner, successfully converted his low shot to the right of the goal. This 49th minute goal made the score equal in a 2-2 draw.

After successfully equaling Super Elja's gain, Arema turned things around with a 3-2 comeback! This time from Lokolingoy's kick in the 53rd minute after receiving Arkhan Fikri's corner.

Not satisfied with this comeback position, Arema then again scored two goals. This time it was Dalberto's turn to make a brace in the 82nd minute. Then the advantage was added through Muhammad Rafli in the 90+13 minute after using the rebound ball.

Far from leaving PSS Sleman in normal time, Arema again added the figure to 6-2 in injury time in the 90+16 minute. Arkhan quickly stabbed into the penalty box and his hard shot was unstoppable and closed the match to Arema FC's big win.
