In Order To Perform Maximum At The Indonesia Masters, Gregoria Focuses On Recovery

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung said she would immediately focus on recovering her physical condition in order to perform optimally in the BWF Super 500 Indonesia Masters 2025 tournament next week.

"At the Indonesia Masters I started again from the first half, so I have to prepare everything immediately even though (preparation time and recovery conditions) are tight," said Gregoria, quoted from a brief statement from PP PBSI, Saturday.

First, I will try to recover optimally until tomorrow (return to Indonesia), then hopefully I can get the opportunity to try (play at) Istora first. I hope playing at home alone can give my best," he added.

Gregoria's steps at the BWF Super 750 India Open 2025 tournament had to stop in the semifinals. The world number five women's singles lost two straight games to Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist An Se Young (South Korea) 19-21, 16-21.

Regarding the match in the last four, Gregoria admitted that the first seed played very well. An Se Young played very well, very neatly," he said.

Despite not being able to advance to the top party, the bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics still appreciated his struggle so far because he had met strong opponents since the first half.
