PTM A Number Of Schools In Semarang Temporarily Stopped Following The Findings Of Positive COVID-19 Students

JAKARTA - The implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) in several schools in the city of Semarang was temporarily suspended following the findings of students who were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Head of the Semarang City Education Office, Gunawan Saptogiri, in Semarang, Monday, confirmed the temporary suspension of the implementation of PTM starting at the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school levels.

"Indeed, it was temporarily suspended because there were positive student findings", he said.

Currently, he said, close contact tracing is still being carried out on students from schools who were found to have COVID-19 cases.

According to him, more than 20 schools were ranging from elementary to high school levels that were reported to have positive COVID-19 students.

According to him, all junior and senior high school students in Semarang City have been completely vaccinated. However, he continued, these students still have confirmed COVID-19. The termination of PTM itself will be carried out during the next week.
