BMKG Weather Forecast: Rain Falls In Several Ports Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the potential for moderate-intensity rain in a number of Jakarta ports, between 07.00 and 19.00 western Indonesia time, Monday.

As reported by Antara, Monday, November 1, citing the social media account of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province at 07.00 western Indonesia time, the weather at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, is expected to be moderate rain with winds blowing from north to east between 4-12 knots.

In addition, the height of the sea waves is between 0.5 and 1.25 meters and it is estimated that the seawater level at 09.00 western Indonesia time will be a maximum of 0.8 meters.

The BMKG predicts that the air temperature at Tanjung Priok Port will range from 25-31 degrees Celsius and humidity of 72-92 percent with visibility of eight kilometers.

This is also expected to occur in Marunda Port (Cilincing) and Kalibaru Port, Nizam Zachman Muara Baru Ocean Fishing Port, Kaliadem Muara Angke Port and Sunda Kelapa Port (Penjaringan).

Meanwhile, the weather in the waters of Jakarta, such as in the waters of the Thousand Islands, Jakarta Bay, and the West Java Sea, the BMKG predicts that it will generally be light rain.

The wind blows from the northeast to the southeast with wind speeds of four to 10 knots and wave heights between 0-0.5 meters.

Meanwhile, in mainland Jakarta, particularly Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, heavy rains with lightning are forecast in the afternoon and into the evening.

The BMKG also gives early warnings about the predictions of the cities and regencies of Bogor and Depok with the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning between noon and night.

The forecast will always be updated every time there is a change in wind and cloud shifts.

The average air temperature on the mainland of DKI Jakarta ranges from 24 to 32 degrees celsius, except in North Jakarta (25-32 degrees celsius), Central Jakarta (25-32 degrees celsius), and the Thousand Islands (26-32 degrees celsius) with humidity ranges from 80-100 percent.
