In One Day, 733 Vehicles Were Ticketed For Odd-even Violations

JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate noted that there had been 733 odd-even rule violations in 13 areas of Jakarta in a day. Most of the violations occurred in the morning.

"From the 13 odd-even areas that have been prosecuted since yesterday, there were 733 vehicles. We received tickets for odd-even, namely 503 in the morning or at 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB and 230 violations in the afternoon at 16.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB", said the Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, to reporters, Friday, October 29.

In addition, the highest number of prosecutions was carried out on DI Panjaitan Street. In total, it reached 194 prosecutions.

With a high number of violations, continued Sambodo, his party will carry out additional socialization. The trick is to install more signs and banners around odd-even areas.

"Hopefully the public will become more aware that we are not making it difficult for the community but to be able to restrict mobility in Jakarta because along with the easing of mobility increases and we continue to have to keep the COVID-19 number going like this (low)", said Sambodo.

For information, Metro Jaya Police implemented the odd-even scheme in 13 regions. The goal is to suppress community mobility.
