Caught Residents Stealing Motorcycles, Perpetrators Dodge To Fight With Witness

JAKARTA - Four perpetrators of theft of motor vehicles (curanmor) who acted in Gang Karya Bakti I Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta were beaten by the masses. The gang of thieves failed when they tried to take a motorbike belonging to a local resident. The incident was also caught on CCTV at the scene.

Seen from CCTV footage, the two perpetrators targeted a motorbike parked in the alley. One of the witnesses at the scene said the perpetrator's behavior looked suspicious when he was near the motorbike he was after. After being approached, it turned out that the perpetrator was breaking the ignition of a parked motorbike.

"I suspect that his movements are strange, what are you going to do. I'm curious. I'm curious when he finds out he's still picking at the ignition. There are four perpetrators, two of them are executing, two others have run away," explained Ilung, a resident of Gang Karya Bakti 1, Wednesday, October 27.

Ilung also said that when he was caught, the perpetrator had fought back so a fight broke out. But in the end the fight did not last long and the two perpetrators were taken to the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters.

"From the hands of the perpetrator, there was a letter T key. He said the police had taken it for investigation purposes," he said.
