3 Boys Suspected Perpetrators of Harassment of 12-Year-Old Girls in Koja Free to Play, Victim's Mother Demands Justice at Police

JAKARTA - The mother of a victim of sexual violence against minors in Koja, North Jakarta, with the initials D (29) and her daughter S (12) returned to the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Thursday, October 21.

The victim and her legal representative, Rifqi Zulham, intend to meet with investigators of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Jakarta Metro Police to deliver a letter requesting clarification on the progress of the investigation into a legal case that occurred about six months ago.

"Our goal is to ask the police about the progress of my client's case", said Rifqi Zulham when met by reporters in North Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, October 21.

Rifqi said the follow-up to the investigation carried out by the North Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit was slow because the three reported were also minors.

In the first Notification of Investigation Results (SP2HP), there were no problems, but the follow-up seemed slow.

"The police are still confronting the information from the reported parties. Because there are differences. In the matter of underage sexual abuse", said Rifqi.

These acts were carried out by friends of the victim, who on average were still small children, respectively R (12), A (12), and B (14).

This case was first reported to the Metro Jaya Police on May 4, 2021, with Inspection Report number LP/2369/V/YAN.2.5/2021/SPKT PMJ for cases of underage intercourse.

However, after the post-mortem was carried out, the case was transferred to the North Jakarta Metro Police for further investigation on June 12, 2021.

The evidence has also been attached in the form of a visa. However, until now the reported party has not been named as a suspect, but only as a witness.

The victim's mother is upset because she has not received justice and legal certainty until now. Moreover, the reported parents are still normal in letting their sons be around their children.

"It's like nothing, just let them play. At all, their parents just let them play", said D.

"I don't know sir (what the problem is). I was told to just wait. I just asked for certainty for my son's justice", said D.
