Viral on Twitter about Criticism of Police, Account Owner's Safety are Threatened

JAKARTA - The tweet of the owner of the Twitter account Fachrial Kautsar @fchkautsar has been in the spotlight of a number of netizens lately. Even the owner of the account also received intimidation from a handful of people who were against his tweet.

Fachrial through his Twitter account @fchkautsar, wrote "Can the Indonesian police be replaced by BCA security guards or not". After tweeting this criticism, Fachrial immediately received repeated threats of violence.

Fachrial captured a threat to himself from the Agustianto2021 account which reads:

"Your calm life is not calm in the hands of your grudge, ahahahaha"

"Already on target on your way, okay?"

The threat was uploaded on Saturday, October 16.

Then Fachrial again captured another threat from the Handyka Guntur Agnandes account which reads:

"What do you mean to bring the police institution"

"Where are you from?"

"If there is a wrong person, blame the person, not the institution, you are very brave to bring the institution"

"If you don't accept it, you don't need to look for me, I'm looking for you!"

The threat was uploaded by Fachrial on Friday, October 15.

Fachrial re-wrote his tweet, "I deliberately deactivate IG because more and more DMs and mentions of threats that come through IG," he wrote.

Despite receiving threats and terror, other netizens also gave support to Fachrial.

Various support comments too. One of them is from Igor's account. "What have you given to your country??

"Hopefully, you'll be fine and the problem will be over soon," wrote Igor while giving support to Fachrial, Saturday, October 16.

Then another support emerged from the Ordinary boii account. "Where's the tagline 'protects the community' if the people themselves are threatened until they are invited to fight?" he wrote.

"Don't give up, sir, they are just being sensitive, that's it," wrote the account @shalonpashot.

"Keep the spirit, sir," wrote the account @sahawe.

Until this news was written in relation to this tweet, VOI tried to confirm to the Head of the Public Information Section of the National Police Headquarters Grand Commissioner Ramadhan through the WhatsApp application but there has been no response.

VOI also tried to confirm with the Head of the Public Information Section of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Pol Rusdi through the WhatsApp application. However, there has also been no response.
