Junior High School Students In Depok Become Victims Of Crane Collapse When Disassembling A Water Tower, It's Been 3 Hours Buried By Blocks Of Concrete

A crane that toppled over while trying to knock down a water tower belonging to PDAM Tirta Asasta (ANTARA)

DEPOK - The attempt to demolish a water tower owned by PDAM Tirta Asasta on Mawar Raya Street, Depok City, West Java, has had fatal consequences.

The crane to knock down the tower overturned on a local resident's house, resulting in three people being injured.

The crane that was used to knock down the PDAM water tower fell on the house right next to it. The house is inhabited by five families, each father, mother and three children.

The incident occurred at 09.00 WIB, Friday, October 15. Antara reported that there were 3 occupants of the house.

Two children who were in the side room were spared from being hit by the crane. While the father who was in front of the house suffered injuries to the head.

A child with the initials Y grade 1 junior high school was crushed by a block of concrete. Up to 3 hours at around 12.00 WIB, the evacuation process is still in progress. "Please pray that Yasmin can be evacuated safely", said the mother.
