JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police noted that during the last two weeks the number of street crimes such as theft with weight, theft with violence, and motorcycle theft decreased by 18 percent. This decrease occurred compared to the data of the previous two weeks.

"In the 39th week and 40th week, the total crime or total crime has decreased enough to reduce the number of crimes in Jakarta", said the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Monday, October 11.

Meanwhile, the number of street crime cases, Yusri continued, has actually increased. It was noted that case disclosure increased by 22 or 23 percent.

"The number that has been revealed is 52 cases by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Metro Jaya Police. It is divided into 13 cases from Resmob, then Jatanras 29 cases and the Sub-Directorate of Motor Vehicles there are 10 cases", said Yusri.

Of the 52 cases, around 84 people were arrested and named suspects. There are still some who are still fugitives.

"Meanwhile, the number of suspects that we have secured and detained for 2 weeks is 84 suspects. And there are still 3 DPOs (wanted list) that we are still pursuing", said Yusri.

Even then, from dozens of cases, at least they confiscated evidence. Such as 12 sharp weapons and 27 vehicles resulting from crimes.

"There are 27 crime vehicles, 26 motorcycles, and 1 four-wheeler", said Yusri.
