After Being Expelled By The KPK, This Former Employee Changed Professions To Become A Fried Rice Maker

JAKARTA - Former employee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Juliandi Tigor Simanjuntak has now changed his profession to become a fried rice maker after he was dismissed at the end of last September due to not passing the National Insight Test (TWK).

Tigor, who is a former function of the KPK Legal Bureau, fills his days by selling fried rice around his house. This was revealed by the Twitter account @paijodirajo belonging to a former KPK employee, Aulia Postiera.

"Juliandi Tigor Simanjuntak, his full name, former Functional Legal Bureau of the KPK. A humble church activist. As his name implies, he is a strong and passionate man," Aulia wrote, quoted by VOI on Monday, October 11.

"Meanwhile, he fills his day by selling fried rice near his house," he added.

In the upload, Aulia explained that Tigor was one of 57 KPK employees who were fired on the pretext of not having passed the TWK since last September 30. In fact, he has devoted himself to the KPK for a dozen years.

"His dedication for decades was destroyed with just 2 days of testing which was proven to have violated human rights, as well as maladministration and ethical violations," said Aulia, who had the same fate as Tigor.

Through the thread he made, he also joked that Tigor's fried rice was tastier than the fried rice that KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri had made.

For information, Firli once demonstrated his cooking skills when he was newly appointed. At that time, he demonstrated how to make Chef Firli's fried rice in front of the media and anti-corruption commission employees.

"Oh yes, Mr. Tigor's fried rice is certainly more delicious and professional when compared to this fake fried rice which is just imagery. Continued success and enthusiasm, Mr. Tigor," said Aulia.

Not only that, but he also prayed that the fried rice sold by Tigor would sell well. At the end of the thread, Aulia once again joked that Tigor had a cooking duel with Firli Bahuri.

In fact, this account asks the KPK to facilitate a cooking duel between Firli and his former employee with three judges, namely Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) researcher Kurnia Ramadhana, journalist Najwa Shihab, and former KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah.

As previously reported, the KPK has officially dismissed 58 of its employees with respect as of last September 30. They were dismissed because they could not become ASN according to the mandate of the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019.

The employees include senior KPK investigators Novel Baswedan and Ambarita Damanik, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo, KPK investigator Harun Al-Rasyid, and dozens of other names.

In addition, there is also a young investigator, Lakso Anindito, who failed after taking a follow-up test because he had just finished his assignment. The KPK argued that they could not become ASN, not because of laws and regulations such as Perkom KPK Number 1 of 2021, but because of the results of their assessment in the TWK.
