House of Representatives Asks For No Delay In Appointing PPKK Teachers

JAKARTA - A total of 173,329 thousand people were declared to have passed the selection to become PPKK teachers in the results of the first stage of the selection announced today.

Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission X, Syaiful Huda, asked that the appointment of teachers who passed the Government State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Teachers with Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) selection be carried out quickly without any delays.

"The process of appointing the 173,000 who passed is so that there will be no delay in the administrative process of appointment", said Huda in the Announcement of the Selection Results for Government State Civil Apparatus (ASN) with Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) Teachers, Friday, October 8.

Because according to him, delays have the potential to weaken the spirit to facilitate the continuity of the world of education. The House of Representatives Commission X, he said, wants the world of education to run smoothly and optimally, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"The sooner teachers graduate to get a contract, and get administrative graduation, the better", said Huda.

Meanwhile, the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Bima Haria Wibisana, said that the issuance of identification numbers for participants who passed the PPPK teacher selection could not be done quickly. The reason is, it takes time to remember that there are quite a lot of people who pass.

"Of course administratively it takes time, because the number is very large, and the local government that has the formation needs to propose to BKN the names assigned to the PPPK teacher identification number", said Bima.

Previously reported, Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, announced that 173,329 honorary teachers passed the selection of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).

"Today, the government announced that 173,329 honorary teachers have successfully passed the formation in the first exam and will soon be appointed as first aid teachers", said Nadiem in announcing the results of the ASN PPPK teacher competency selection, Friday.

Thus, 53.7 percent of teacher formations have been filled out of 322,665 ASN PPPK teacher formations with applicants on the first selection exam.

In 2021, the Central Government will provide 1,02,616 formations for PPPK teachers. However, only 506,252 were submitted by the LGs and only 322,665 were found applicants in the first exam. Thus, there are still 183,567 vacant formations.

"This is a historic day for all of us. This is only the first stage, and there will be a second and third stage. This is just the process of appointing PPPK teachers", said Nadiem.
