South Sumatra Police Forms Special Team, Investigate Allegations Of Bodong DHD Farm Investments

PALEMBANG - Thousands of victims of alleged fraud and embezzlement of investment funds in the city of Palembang and several areas in South Sumatra asked the South Sumatra Police to step in and examine the management of cooperative partner Darsa Harka Darussalam (DHD) Farm.

Rustam, one of the victims of this alleged fraud, said that the investigation carried out by the authorities would prevent new victims from falling. "The DHD Farm investment case caused many victims and losses reached hundreds of billions of rupiah. It needs to be investigated thoroughly", said Rustam at the DHD Farm Office, Resident H Amaluddin Street, Palembang, Antara, Friday, October 8.

Rustam entered this investment program at the beginning of this year. By DHD Farm, he was offered organic catfish which was developed by DHD Farm in several areas of South Sumatra. The profit is up to 10 percent per month. For one catfish pond, DHD Farm Palembang has set an investment fund of IDR 10 million to IDR 12 million.

Through a lengthy explanation and ensuring the safety of investment funds at DHD Farm, finally, in June 2021, he was interested in investing IDR 60 million in six catfish ponds.

The initial journey of the investment fund was smooth and has received IDR 12 million in profit-sharing funds for catfish. However, entering the third month, traffic jams began, and finally, a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement of investment funds emerged.

Previously, the Director of DHD Farm Indonesia, Medi Siswanto, said that his party continues to provide the best for partners who invest in the catfish pond business.

"We hope that all partners are patient, considering that DHD Farm Indonesia's finances have decreased, thus disrupting the payment of profit sharing as promised", he said.

DHD Farm's finances are currently unstable and declining, due to allegations of misappropriation by the former President Director on behalf of DS and the former Finance Director, IR. As a result of this problem, the management reported the fraud to the South Sumatra Police on October 1, 2021.

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the South Sumatra Police has just received three reports of victims of investment in the catfish pond business conducted by DHD Farm Indonesia, Palembang.

Police Commissioner Masnoni, the Head of Sub-Directorate IV of Women and Children Services (PPA) Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the South Sumatra Police said, to investigate the case his party has formed a special team.
