60 Percent Of The Residents Have Been Vaccinated, Village Head Elections In 47 Mukomuko Villages Are Ready To Be Held With Strict Health Protocol

MUKOMUKO - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province said that around 60 percent of residents spread across 47 villages holding simultaneous village head elections in 2021 had been vaccinated against COVID-19.

"Until now 60 percent of the population has been vaccinated, now the vaccination is still continuing," said Secretary of the Mukomuko District Health Office Bustam Bustomo in Mukomuko, Antara, Wednesday, October 6.

He said this after receiving reports regarding the realization of vaccinations in 47 villages holding simultaneous village head elections this year from the vaccinator team of the local Health Service.

He stated that although the realization of vaccination in 47 villages holding simultaneous Pilkades this year had reached the target of at least 60 percent, vaccination activities in this region would continue.

"We are targeting that 100 percent of the 142.831 residents targeted for vaccination activities have been vaccinated against COVID-19," he said.

He said that his party carried out vaccinations in 47 villages that held simultaneous Pilkades this year because there was a mass gathering in the village during the village head election later.

He hopes that this COVID vaccine can prevent residents in 47 villages holding simultaneous Pilkades this year from contracting the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The Head of the Mukomuko Gianto Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service targets a minimum of 60 percent of residents in 47 villages holding simultaneous village head elections to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before the village head election.

"We will hold the simultaneous Pilkades on November 1, 2021, before that 60 percent of the residents have been vaccinated," he said.

In addition, he said, his party continued to implement health protocols such as maintaining distance, checking temperature, and officers having to wear gloves during the simultaneous Village Head Elections (Pilkades) in this area.

He stated that his party implemented health protocols in every stage of the simultaneous village head election in 47 villages in this area.
