Makassar Mayor Danny Pomanto And Fatmawati Rusdi Monitor PTM Simulations In Schools, Antigen Students First

MAKASSAR - Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) together with Deputy Mayor Fatmawati Rusdi monitored face-to-face learning simulations (PTM) in several public junior high schools (SMP) to ensure health protocols were strictly implemented.

"This face-to-face learning simulation is in all sub-districts and we want to ensure that the health protocols are strictly enforced so that there are no school clusters", said Danny Pomanto in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Monday, October 4.

Danny Pomanto said this face-to-face learning was carried out by public and private schools and it became a pilot before all PTM was held.

One of the schools he visited was SMPN 6 Makassar on Ahmad Yani Street. His visit was to see firsthand how the PTM simulation was a form of the Makassar City Government's seriousness in the world of education.

"Even though Makassar City is currently at level two, I don't want to be in a hurry to open schools. Based on yesterday's coordination meeting, PTM simulations started simultaneously in all sub-districts and I hope all schools make sure students are healthy before holding face-to-face meetings", said Danny Pomanto.

Students who will study beforehand do an antigen test first to avoid school clusters.

"The antigen test is just in case. All students are required to have an antigen. This is to ensure that all of them are healthy. If someone is identified, they are not allowed to join the PTM but must be isolated first", he said.

For the PTM simulation concept itself, Danny, who was accompanied by the Acting Head of Education Office, Nielma Palemba, and Wahab Tahir, the Head of Commission D of the Makassar Regional House of Representatives in the field of education, said that they had prepared a concept that was not boring.

"It's been two years since I've stepped on school. The concept of inviting students to focus needs to be considered. With a hybrid format and also outing classes, it is hoped that it will make students a generation that is smart and responsive to the current situation", he explained.

Going around looking at the PTM process simulation, Danny Pomanto said that after the antigen test was carried out, the next 14 days the GeNose would be tested and the following month a complete test would be carried out if needed.
