Four Days Not Leaving Home, Elderly Body Found Dead, Her 3-Year-Old Grandson Sitting Silently

JAKARTA - An elderly woman (elderly) was found dead at her home in the Pegangsaan Dua area, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The 64-year-old woman with the initials OJT is known to only live with her grandson who is still a toddler.

OJT was found to be dead when his neighbors suspected that there was a bad smell. This suspicion made the neighbor finally check OJT's house. Sure enough, when OJT's house was inspected, the woman was already lying motionless. Besides OJT's body, there is the grandson who looks shabby and dirty.

Kelapa Gading Police Chief, AKP Rio Mikael Tobing, confirmed the discovery of the bodies of the elderly with his grandson.

"The condition of the house is locked. When called but there is no response. Then, a break-in was carried out. When it was broken into, the owner of the house was found dead", said Rio when confirmed, Friday, October 1.

According to the police chief, the victim has not left the house for the past four days. The neighbors were suspicious and reported it to the local RW (Citizens Association).

"Because the victim did not leave the house for several days. The victim met her neighbors about four days ago", said the police chief.

The boy was found in a poor condition. The police chief said the victim was found lying in bed with his grandmother.

At that time, the boy identified with the initials J was in poor condition and was not dressed".

“The condition of the grandson when we found him was naked. It looks dirty and has not been maintained and we have evacuated to the health center to receive treatment", said Rio.

To note, the victim only lived with her grandson in the house. Rio added that the victim allegedly died from tuberculosis. Furthermore, the victim's body was taken to Dr. Hospital Cipto Mangunkusumo for examination.
