One Hour Inspected By Metro Police, Minister Luhut: I Think It's Finished

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has finished providing clarification on reports of alleged defamation at Metro Jaya Police.

Everything, said Luhut, has been submitted to investigators. Namely, all that is needed for the alleged defamation report to Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti

"I have finished being questioned by investigators regarding my report yesterday. And I think it's over, that's all," said Luhut at the Metro Jaya Police, Monday, September 27.

The clarification process took approximately one hour. This is because Luhut arrived at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate building at 08.30 western Indonesia time and left at around 09.28 western Indonesia time.

In the clarification process, Luhut also brought some evidence related to the shoes. But he was reluctant to convey explicitly about the evidence.

Luhut also conveyed the same thing when he was asked about the number of questions asked by investigators. "Yes, I gave all (evidence)," he said.

"Many, yes, there are many (questions)," continued Luhut.

Meanwhile, Luhut reported Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti to the Metro Jaya Police. The report relates to allegations of defamation.

This report relates to Haris Azhar and Fatia's statements on YouTube content. Where, the video content is entitled 'There is Lord Luhut Behind Intan Jaya's Economic Relations-Military Ops, BIN General Also Exists'.

In addition, Luhut's reason for reporting was because there was no good faith from Haris Azhar and Fatia. In fact, they have been summoned twice.

The report has been registered with the number STTLP/B/4702/IX/2021/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, September 22, 2021. In the report, the reported parties are suspected of violating Article 45 in conjunction with Article 27 of the ITE Law.

Not only criminal, but Luhut will also sue Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti in a civil manner.

"What is very interesting is that Mr. Luhut said that this matter will also be a civil lawsuit," said Luhut's lawyer, Juniver Girsang.

In the lawsuit, Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti who are considered to have defamed Luhut must pay Rp100 billion in money. The money is a form of accountability.

"In the civil lawsuit he told me earlier, we will sue both Haris Azhar and Fatia who have defamed him for Rp100 billion," he said.

If the lawsuit is granted, the money will not be enjoyed by Luhut. Instead, it is given to the Papuan people.
