Bobby Nasution Welcomes Singapore Consul General's Offer For ASN Training For Medan City Government

MEDAN - The offer from the Consul General (Consul General) of Singapore, Richard Grosse, to conduct training for state civil servants (ASN) within the Medan City Government was welcomed by the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution.

This is because the training that is part of the Singapore Cooperation Program (SCP) can improve the capabilities and quality of ASN, especially in providing the best service for the community. Richard Grosse made this offer when he met Bobby Nasution at Medan City Hall, Thursday, September 23.

Previously, in 2018, the Medan City Government had also sent 25 ASN to attend direct training in Singapore.

According to Bobby Nasution, the Medan City Government welcomes this offer, because it is related to efforts to increase the ability and quality of ASN.

However, Bobby Nasution said that sending ASN to participate in the program will of course see first the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Hopefully, COVID-19 cases will not only be found in Indonesia, especially in the city of Medan, but also in Singapore, it will soon fall. That way, ASN can take part in the training directly," Bobby said, quoted from the Medan City Government Public Relations statement.

Previously, the Consul General of Singapore, Richard Grosse, thanked Bobby Nasution for his kind welcome. Richard Grosse really hopes that ASN in the Medan City Government can return to the training in the SCP.

“The last time, the City of Medan sent its employees in 2018. Indeed, at this time, training cannot be carried out directly in Singapore, only through a virtual connection. If we wish, we can bring lecturers or teaching staff directly here to provide the training,” explained Richard while expressing his appreciation because Medan City has been in level 3 of implementing PPKM.
